Defoaming Masterbatch Rapid foam suppression in extrusion and molding processes.
Delivers vibrant, lasting hues with exceptional pigment coverage.
Boosts rigidity and cuts costs with superior filler dispersion.
Rapidly suppresses foam for flawless extrusion and molding.
Visually, the differences among these three masterbatch types show up in their color/gloss, granule shape, and uniformity:
Filler Masterbatch
Color/Gloss: Typically milky white, light gray or beige with a matte finish and low reflectivity.
Granule Shape: Roughly 2–4 mm in diameter, irregularly shaped due to high loadings of inorganic fillers (e.g. calcium carbonate, talc). The texture is brittle and edges may form small facets.
Uniformity: Slight variations in particle size and shade reveal how the filler is dispersed within the resin.
Color Masterbatch
Color/Gloss: Comes in single or multiple vivid hues (red, yellow, blue, green, etc.), with saturated, glossy surfaces that clearly show pigment encapsulation.
Granule Shape: Smooth, rounded cylinders or spheres, uniform in size—think “colorful candy-coated chocolates.”
Uniformity: Nearly identical color across all granules, delivering maximum visual impact.
Defoaming Masterbatch
Color/Gloss: Usually semi-translucent light beige or gray with a faint milky tinge, finished in matte or semi-gloss.
Granule Shape: Smaller (1–3 mm), irregularly shaped particles often showing tiny pinholes or micro-foam textures on the surface.
Uniformity: Minor differences in color or translucency among granules highlight the dispersion of the defoaming agent.
